Credit Union Information
The Mid-America Credit Union Association, headquartered in Bismarck, North Dakota, is the official trade association of credit unions in the Dakotas. The Association is an educational and informational resource – a place for credit unions to turn to for answers and for services. By linking member credit unions with the values, methods, and techniques developed by the movement, the Association enriches credit union growth and stability.
Founded in 2007 as a merger of the trade associations of North and South Dakota, Mid-America Credit Union Association is owned and controlled by its members, and governed by a Board of Directors elected by and from its members. As credit unions in the Dakotas exist to serve their members, so the Mid-America Credit Union Association exists to serve its member credit unions. There are five primary areas of work done by the Association on behalf of the member credit unions and their members – legal and legislative, operations, educations, marketing/advertising and communications, and the service corporation.
The Mid-America Credit Union Association’s affiliate, the Mid-America Service Corporation (MASC), offers personal service to credit unions by supplying cost-effective products and services needed for their operations. The focus of the Service Corporation is on creative services, IT – including web design and all related areas, BSA training and audits, and HR consulting needs. Currently launching is a Business Lending CUSO.
